SUF – CPT

JUNE 1 2023

DID YOU KNOW 90% OF CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINERS WHO READ A TEXTBOOK QUIT WITHIN 12-MONTHS?

There are currently no national or state licensing requirements for working as a personal trainer like there are for doctors, chiropractors, massage therapists, physical therapists, and athletic trainers. With no licensing requirements, anyone can claim to be a fitness professional and offer personal training services.

SUF-CPT is getting ncca accredited –

Show Up Fitness Cpt is the World's Best Fitness Certification

As of June 2023, Show Up Fitness CPT has been certifying personal trainers for over 12-months. Why is this important? We can now start the process for accreditation via the NCCA / ICE. The application process can still take over 18-months and will cost us over $20,000 (which we would have loved to give back to science, but in order to play the game, you need the accreditation.) In our last in-person SUF-CPT (online as well) we had 8-trainers get hired at Equinox. The SUF-CPT can get you hired at Equinox and Lifetime (smaller box gyms like LA Fitness, 24-Hour, F45 and OTF will require a textbook certification like NASM or ACE.) If you want to start your online training business, start your own gym or garage or train independent, SUF-CPT is the cheapest certification (as of *June 2023) and all you need is to get your limited liability insurance here!)

*The material for the SUF-CPT is online with power points and on-demand videos. Classes are LIVE daily then recorded for on demand. The cost per month is $100 and the SUF-CPT test is $149 to sit in front of a panel of coaches to complete the test within 10-minutes. The average trainer completes the SUF-CPT within two months and then moves into Level 2 for business development (SUF-OC), nutrition (SUF-NC) and mentorship (SUF-MP.)
